horse racing - O'Brien junior makes history

Galileo Chrome won the St Leger at Dioncaster, the final British Classic of 2020.

Trainer Joseph O'Brien, son of Aidan, won the race as a jockey for his father in 2013 and is only the second man, after Harry Wragg, to triumph as both in the event.

It was jockey Tom Marquand's first Classic win. Berkshire Rocco was second and Pyledriver was third while Frankie Dettori, seeking a seventh St Leger for both himself and Aidan O'Brien, finished fourth on Santiago..
golf - Johnson cruises to tour title

World number one Dustin Johnson claimed a three-shot victory at the season-ending PGA Tour Championship in Atlanta, USA.

Johnson carded a two-under 68 to also claim the $15m play-off series prize.

Fellow Americans Justin Thomas and Xander Schauffele each posted final rounds of 66 to finish tied for second on 18 under.
