Essex retain County title

County champions Essex won the Bob Willis Trophy final, which this year is the English first-class cricket title, after their match with Somerset at Lord's in London ended in a draw.
The eastern county were declared winners due to having scored more runs in the first innings. It means Somerset's wait for a first red-ball county title continues.
In a repeat of the County Championship-deciding fixture of last season, it was again Essex taking the silverware at Somerset's expense.
