  1. The contests planned for July between Australia and Ireland for the Lansdowne Cup have been cancelled due to the effects of the Covid-19 outbreak.

In a statement, World Rugby said that the extended travel and quarantine restrictions that apply to numerous countries, and concerns over adequate player preparation time, mean that any sort of cross-border international rugby competition cannot be hosted in July.

  2. Paris Saint-Germain have been awarded the Ligue 1 title after it was announced the season would not resume because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

PSG were 12 points clear at the top of the table, with a game in hand, when French football was suspended indefinitely on 13th March and the French government has now cancelled the 2019-20 sporting season. French football's governing body had been hoping to resume the season on 17th June.

PSG have been named champions based on a points-per-game basis.
