Cricket - Asia Cup (ODI)
This One-Day International tournament was staged every two years from 1984 up to and including 2014. It is now on a quadrennial format. India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh have been regular participants. United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong have also been involved in some of the tournaments, and Afghanistan took part for the first time in 2014.
India did not enter in 1996 for political reasons, Pakistan did not take part in 1991 and n 1993, the tournament was cancelled due to strained political relations between India and Pakistan.
