Cricket - Bangladesh National League
The first class championship of Bangladesh began in 2000/01, shortly after the country attainted full membership of global governing body the International Cricket Council. It had been inaugurated as a non-first class event the previous season.
The title is contested by eight Bangladeshi "Divisions" in a format of two tiers of four teams each, with a knockout climax. It was not staged in 2021 due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
