cricket - England regain the Wisden Trophy
Posted on
England fought back from 1-0 down to win the series against West Indies 2-1 with a pair of victories in Manchester behind closed doors due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Pace bowler Stuart Broad became just the seventh player in the sport's history to take 500 wickets in a Test career, as he claimed 10 victims in the final Test match at Old Trafford, won by the hosts by 269 runs.
This was the last series contested for the Wisden Trophy, which will now be retired to the museum at Lord's Cricket Ground in London. From now on a new prize will be up for grabs, the Richards-Botham Trophy, in Test series between England and West Indies.
