Spanish football club Villarreal beat Premier League giants Manchester United on penalties after a 1-1 draw in the Europa league Final in Gdansk, Poland. 

All 20 outfield players converted their penalties in the longest shootout in a final of any Uefa competition.Villarreal goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli scored and then saved opposition keeper David De Gea's effort as tjhe Villarreal won 11-10.

It was the club's first major trophy in their history and manager Unai Emery lifted the Europa League for an unprecedented fourth time, having triumphed three times with Sevilla.
