American Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone produced one of the great performances in Athletics history at Stade de France in Paris to retain the Olympic Women's 400m Hurdles title in a world record 50.37, 1.5 seconds clear of second-placed Anna Cockrell with Dutchwoman Femke Bol third.
Botswana's Letsile Tebogo claimed a surprise Men's Olympic 200m Gold in 19.46 seconds, with Covid-affected 100m winner Noah Lyles leaving the track in a wheelchair after taking Bronze and Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem won his country's first ever Athletics medal, winning the Men's Javelin.
Elsewhere on day 13, Netherlands' Sharon van Rouwendaal won the Women's Marathon Swim in the River Seine for her second Olympic title after winning at Rio 2016, the Dutch men's Hokcey team beat Germany after extra time to win Gold, Indonesia's Veddriq Leonardo won the men's Speed Climbing, China completed a clean sweep of all six Diving Golds when Xie Siyi won the Men's 3m Springboard.
