CAF Champions League

The premier tournament in African club football. It began as the African Champions Cup, adopting its current name in 1997. From 2004 the competition has been open to runners-up from the leading African league. The winner gains entry to the FIFA World Club Cup. Until 2020, the final had always been held over two legs, apart from the inaugural year when it was a single match in Accra, Gha.
From 2020-2022 the final was staged at a single venue:

This tournament is the second-tier event in African club football. It was created as a merger of the old Cup-Winners' and CAF Cups. Domestic cup winners and third-placed league teams from the top 12 footballing nations on the continent, plus the runners-up from all the other leagues take part. Until 2020, the final was held over two legs.

CAF Cup

Now defunct, this tournament was for the runners-up of the respective domestic leagues in Africa. Contested annually by the reigning African Champions League and Confederation Cup holders. Algeria-based club Kabylie earned the right to keep the original trophy, named after former Nigeria Sports Director Moshood Abiola when they won the CAF Cup for the third time in 2002. The final was held over two legs.
