Cricket - Deodhar Trophy
This "List A" tournament, named after one of Indian cricket's great historical figures, D.B. Deodhar, used to be solely contested by the country's five traditional zonal regional teams - Central, North, South, East & West. In 2015-16, a new format replaced it, involving the Vijay Hazare Trophy winners, India A and India B. But from 2023 those three teams were dropped, with an additional regional side, North East, making it a six-team tournament. After 2023 the Deodhar Trophy was discontinued.
