  1. English-trained horse Golden Ace won the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham at the staggering odds of 25/1 with 66/1 shot Burdett Road second and the 150/1-rated Winter Fog third.
    2023 winner Constitution Hill and last year's victor State Man both fell during the race but were unjured.
    Earlier, Ireland's Lossiemouth retained the Mares' Hurdle crown, Jango Baie won the Arkle for England and Irish runner Kopek des Bordes triumphed in the Supreme Novies' Hurdle.

  2. India beat New Zealand in the final to win cricket's Men's Champions Trophy in Dubai, UAE.
    The Black caps scored 251-7 in their 50 overs but India captain Rohit Sharma hit 76 as his side reached their target with six balls to spare.
    Since being beaten in the final of the 2023 World Cup, India have won the T20 World Cup and now the Champions Trophy for a record third time but first since 2013.
