Oceania Champions League
The premier club tournament in Oceania was first held, under the name of the Oceania Club Championship, in 1987. Twenty years later it became the Oceania Champions League (`O League`) and decides the continent's entrant for the next FIFA World Club Cup.
Australian clubs have not competed since 2006, due to their federation's decision to leave the Oceania Football Confederation to join its counterpart in Asia. The tournament was not staged in 2020 or 2021 due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
