Olympic Games - Equestrian
Equestrian sport made its Olympic debut at the 1900 Games. It was left out of the following two celebrations, but has been part of the event since 1912. The current disciplines staged are Dressage, Eventing (combined Dressage, Cross Country and Show Jumping) and Show Jumping. In each individual and team medals are awarded. Women and men compete together on equal terms.
The venues used in 2008 were the Sports Institute and the Sheung Yue River complex in Hong Kong.
