Olympic Games - Fencing
Fencing has been ever present in the Summer Olympic Games. Women made their debut in 1924, competing in Foil only. Femaiel Epee came in 1996 and Sabre was inaugurated in 2004.
In Foil the target is the torso; double touches are not allowed. Epee uses the entire body and double touches are allowed. For Sabre the target is above the waist (excluding the back of the head and the hands); double touches are not allowed.
The venue used in 2008 was the Olympic Green Convention Center, Beijing, China.
