Rugby - Prince William Cup
Inaugurated in 2007 to mark 100 years of South Africa-Wales matches, this trophy has provoked controversy in the Principality. Many feel that the son of the Prince of Wales and patron of the Welsh Rugby Union is an inappropriate person to have the bauble named after, due to his patronage of the (English) Football Association and open support for the England rugby team. Before its creation, South Africa had won 17 of the 19 clashes, with Wales boasting just one victory and one drawn.
