Cricket - Pakistan Cup
Pakistan's One-day (50-overs-per-side) tournament has evolved over the years.
In 1973-74 the first National limited overs domestic tournament was staged, the Pentagular Trophy, contested by five corporate teams - Pakistan International Airlines, Habib Bank, National Bank, United Bank and Pakistan Automobiles Corporation.
After a haphazard existance, this arrangement ended in the 1990s before returning in 2005-06 with largely new teams including state sides such as Punjab and North West Frontier.
In 2013-14 the Departmental One-Day Cup began a five-season run, the final three campaigns of which saw the new Pakistan Cup run alongside it before the latter took on the mantle as the sole "List A" One-Day tournament in the country.
