Golf - Qatar Masters
The rivalry between the oil-rich Gulf states, and the success of events in Dubai, led to Qatar finding its place on to the European PGA Tour in 1998. After initially being unable to lure quality fields to the new tournament, the Qatar Masters at the Doha Golf Club is now one of the biggest events on the schedule.
