Golf - Russian Open
The inaugural Russian Open was held at the Moscow Country Club as an amateur tournament. The tournament accepted professionals for the first time the following year. A second-tier Challenge Tour event from 1996 until 2002, it became a full European Tour stop from 2003 but dropped off the schedule from 2009-2012.
