Snooker - Six Red World Championship
As the name suggests, this tournament is unique on the World Snooker tour as all matches begin with just six reds and the six coloured balls available to pot, as opposed to the conventional 15 reds and six other coloured balls.
It was initially called the "Six-red International" in 2008 and the the "Six-red World Grand Prix" in 2009 before taking on its current name in 2010. From 2020-22 it was cancelled because of travel restrictions in force due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
It has always been staged in Bangkok, Thailand, at the following venues:
2008-10 & 2012-14: Riverside Hotel;
2015: Fashion Island Shopping Mall:
2016-19: Convention Center.
2023- Pathumthani University Convention Center
