Snooker - Welsh Open
The fourth longest surviving ranking tournament, the Welsh Open was only open to snooker professionals from that country until it was opened up to the world on attaining ranking status in 1992. From 1992-98 & 2005-14 it was played at the Newport Centre in Newport. From 1999-2004 & 2015-20 and 2022 it was held at the International Arena in Cardiff. In 2021 it was moved to the Celtic Manor, Newport. In 2023 it was staged for the first time at Venue Cymru, Llandudno.
