Billy Horschel beat fellow American Scottie Scheffler 2&1 to win the WGC Matchplay Golf title in Austin, Texas.

Another American, Matt Kuchar, beat Frenchman Victor Perez 2&1 in the match to decide who finished third.

Australian Neil Robertson claimed the Tour Championship Snooker title with a 10-4 victory over England's Ronnie O'Sullivan in Newport, Wales.

It was a 20th ranking title triumph for Roberson, who earlier in the season won the UK Championship.
