  1. Paris Saint-Germain have been awarded the Ligue 1 title after it was announced the season would not resume because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

    PSG were 12 points clear at the top of the table, with a game in hand, when French football was suspended indefinitely on 13th March and the French government has now cancelled the 2019-20 sporting season. French football's governing body had been hoping to resume the season on 17th June.

    PSG have been named champions based on a points-per-game basis.

     

     

  2. The England and Wales Cricket Board have postponed their brand new tournament "The Hundred" until 2021 because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

    The 100-ball competition, involving eight teams in separate men's and women's tournaments, was due to begin in July and end on 15th August.

    The ECB had previously extended the shutdown on cricket in England and Wales until at least 1st July.
