Spain beat England 2-1 in the final to win the Men's European football Championship in Berlin, Germany. It was the fourth time the Iberian nation had won the title.
World champions Argentina claimed the Men's Copa America crown for a record 16th time after beating Colombia 1-0 after extra time in Miami, USA.
