Selby ends trophy drought

England's Mark Selby claimed his first British Open snooker title, beating John Higgins of Scotland 10-5 in the final in Cheltenham to lift the Clive Everton Trophy, poignantly in the week of the broadcaster and journalist's passing at the age of 87.
It's four-time world champion Selby's first ranking tournament win since the WST Classic in March 2023 and the 23rd of his career.
