  1. Rugby - european finals venue shift

    Marseille will now host the Champions Cup and Challenge Cup finals in 2021 rather than 2020.

    European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) still plan to stage the 2020 finals on the weekend of October 16-17th but at an alternative venue(s) to be decided after the Covid-19 pandemic creating, in their words, "many uncertainties".

    London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will now stage the 2022 finals rather than next year's European showpieces.

  2. golf - Ryder Cup moved to 2021

    The 2020 Ryder Cup has been postponed for a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

    The match between the United States and Europe was due to be held at Whistling Straits, Wisconsin on 25-27th September. It will now be played on 24-26th September 2021.

    The PGA of America stated that the decision was due to the severe doubt that spectators would be able to attend on the original dates.
