Cricket - Sir Vivian Richards Trophy
The abolition of apartheid finally made it possible for South Africa and West Indies to compete in a full international match. The historic Test match in Barbados in 1992 was South Africa's first since re-admission to official international cricket.
Since 2000 the sides have competed for a trophy named in honour of Si Vivian Richards, the Antiguan who is one of the all-time great batsmen.
