Swiatek's second Roland Garros triumph

Poland's Iga Swiatek beat American Coco Gauff 6-1 6-3 to win her second tennis Grand Slam title in the Women's Singles final at Roland Garros in Paris, France.

It was Swiatek's 35th straight victory - equalling the longest WTA streak this century and followed her win at Roland Garros in 2020.

Desert Crown wins The Derby

Desert Crown won The Derby, horse racing's most famous flat race, under English jockey Richard Kingscote at Epsom Downs.

The 5-2 favourite finished clear of Hoo Ya Mal, a 150-1 shot, and Westover. It was a sixth winner of the race for Anglo-Barbadian trainer Michael Stoute.
