The final of Pakistan's premier domestic cricket tournament, the Quaid-e-Azam trophy, ended in a tie between Central Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Karachi.

Central Punjab needed to score 356 runs to win but, despite skipper Hasan Ali's unbeaten 106 - his maiden first-class century - they were bowled out for 355 meaning that the match was declared as a tie, the first time this has ever happened in any first class final in the history of the sport.

Metier scored an impressive success in the first major race of 2021, the Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown Park in London.

The Harry Fry-trained five-year-old horse, ridden by Sean Bowen, won the Grade 1 novice event by 12 lengths from Shakem up 'arry qith Tile Tapper third.
