Cantlay's California Clincher

American Patrick Cantlay clinched the Japan Championship by one stroke. The tournament was played in Sherwood, California due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It was Cantlay's third PGA Tour victory.

Fellow American Justin Thomas shared second place with Spain's Jon Rahm.

Zverev's sweet smell of success in Cologne

German Alexander Zverev won the ATP Cologne indoor title with a 6-2 6-1 victory over Argentina's Diego Schwartzman. It was Zverev's 13th ATP title.

Elsewhere, in Antwerp, Ugo Humbert of France beat Australian Alex de Minaur to claim the ATP European Open.
