The Evian Championship, which was set to be the first of the five 2020 women's golf majors, has been cancelled because of the covid-19 pandemic.
The event was scheduled to be played in August in Evians-les-Bains, France. The LPGA tour has been suspended since late February and has now lost 10 tournaments from its list this year.
The Women's British Open in August will now be the initial major, followed by the Mission Hills Championship in September, the Women's PGA in October and the US Women's Open in December.
