Italy's Jannik Sinner won his first Grand Slam tennis title with a 3-6 3-6 6-4 6-4 6-3 victory over Russian Daniil Medvedev in the Australian Open final.
The 22-year-old fourth seed trailed by two sets before recovering to win in his first major final. Medvedev also lost a two-set lead against Rafael Nadal in the 2022 final.

Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus beat China's Zheng Qinwen 6-3 6-2 to retain the Australian Open Women's Singles tennis title in Melbourne.
Sabalenka is the first player to retain the trophy since Victoria Azarenka in 2013.
