  1. Italy's world No.1 Jannik Sinner secured back-to-back Men's Australian Open tennis titles with a 6-3 7-6 (7-4) 6-3 victory over Alexander Zverev of Germany in Melbourne.
    Sinner, who also won the 2024 French Open, is the first Italian to win three Grand Slam titles while Zverev became the seventh man in the Open era to lose his first three Grand Slam finals, having also been defeated at the 2020 US Open and 2024 French Open.

  2. American Madison Keys won her first Grand Slam tennis title after beating defending champion & World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus 6-3 2-6 7-5 in the final to claim the Australian Open women's title in Melbourne.
    It was a second major final for Keys, who was runner-up in the 2017 US Open. Only three other women have been older than the 29-year-old  when winning their first Grand Slam title.
