World champion Kyren Wilson claimed his first Northern Ireland Open snooker title, and lifted the Alex Higgins Trophy, at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast.
Wilson eventually beat fellow Englishman Judd Trump 9-3 in the final, having led 7-0.

Irish horse Hotazhell won the Futurity Stakes, the final Group One race of the British Flat season, at Doncaster.
The winner, ridden by Shane Foley for trainer Jessica Harrington, won in a photo finish with another Irish runner, the Aidan O'Brien trained Delacroix, ridden by English jockey Ryan Moore by a nose.
